  • Poverty is all around us and we seem to accept it as inevitable. It’s sad, it’s unfortunate, but there is nothing we can do.

    There are different reasons given. People do not work hard enough or are lazy. People choose not play by the rules and live in society. People use drugs, did not pursue education, come from different cultures, etc.

    But we know there are enough resources for everyone in the world many times over.

    Poverty is not inevitable. It is a result of a system of distribution that does not aim to ensure all people have housing, food, weather appropriate clothes, health care, clean drinking water, and all the basic things that people need to survive.
